Idyllic tips to Prepare for SSC CGL Tier II Exam
After getting the result of your performance in SSC Tier-I exam, it’s the right time to start your preparations for SSC CGL Tier-II exam. In this article, we will specially focus on the ideal tips to prepare for SSC CGL Tier-II exam. As a competent aspirant, you are required to know few relevant facts about SSC CGL Tier-II exam, before starting your preparations. Firstly, this exam will be conducted online and Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory for all the aspirants. The candidates who have applied for the post of Statistical Investigator only are supposed to appear in Paper 3. Similarly, the candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) only are supposed to appear in Paper 4. There will be a break of 2 hours between Quantitative Aptitude Section and English Section exams. Lastly, the negative marking for Paper 1, 3 and 4 is 0.50 marks and for Paper 2 are 0.25 marks, so avoid guess work and prepare well for the exam.

- In Tier-II exam syllabus, three new topics- Voice, Narration and Para Jumble have been added to the English section. The topics of Voice and Narration are based on rules and so are very scoring. You should learn rules properly and try to practice questions based on them. Similarly, you should try to improve your reading habit to score well in Reading Comprehension section and Cloze Test section.
- After completing the entire, you should plan a time-table for revision. You should practice hard on mock tests and analyze your performances and make a list of difficult and complex questions. To enhance your speed and accuracy, master these concepts and try to solve these questions with short tricks or fixed methods.
- You should try to learn from your mistakes and shortcomings and not shy away from it. Do try to read the questions correctly and try to figure out its solution logically.
